Kinda got that "Alien" look going on. 8)

Looks like it would fit perfect on the ol' 210 WAC.

Or Slipaway!

Dang it is still heavy! Is that right?  576 lbs!!!!  I guess they don't think any older motors are still running. My 94 175 2 stroke weighs 375! Thats freakin 200 lbs!

I saw on THT where one guy got quoted 17 and change and another guy was quoted 20 and change. I don't think the dealers actually know cost yet. Could be for the fly by wire.

227KG = 500 lbs.  Not so lightweight compared to other 200 outboards...

Hmmmm....given that the F150 is an I4, wonder if they just bumped up the HP?  The 150 is a very narrow motor over it's V6 counterparts, doubt a V6 block would fall into the "footprint" of the F150...

Lol yeah I think Merc is on the right track with their new 3.0 online four 150. Give it some time and they will have a higher hp version out.

Don't think mercury will go any higher than 150hp on that motor, they don't want to compete with the more expensive verado. I'm on there guide program and usually get early info on stuff in the works. I hope I'm wrong and they don't come out with the 200 version right after I buy the 150

3 liters is usually too big for an inline 4 if you want to wind it very tight.  It will have high vibration characteristics, but should be good for low-end torque.  Think tractor motor - kind of like the Mercruiser 3 liter that is used for the 140 outdrive.  That block is actually based on a tractor engine.  Mercury might be a able to use balance shafts or some other tricks to smooth it out, but in general, the max displacement for a higher RPM 4 cylinder inline is 2-2.5 liters.  I would not bet the farm on this engine.
