If you come across a book titled "The Silent War" and have any interest in Black Ops and submarines, the author John PiƱa Craven spells out an interesting history of the concept of "Mutually Assured Destruction" and the role it played in nuclear deterrence...

That followed by "Blind Mans Bluff" and Cold War submarine service takes on a whole new meaning...


Found both in the $2 bin in a big bookstore a few years ago and they are an entertaining read.  How many times as a kid did we almost get blown up? Way more then you think.. :pale:
