Polk Station?
The state shot down that project because CO2 emissions would have gone up.

Lots of good comments guys.  Too bad the public will never know true facts and too bad the politicians are driven by dollars in their pockets.
Politics have no relation to morals.

The Crystal River plant is looking at 3 Billion in repairs just to get it up and running again..

I grew up in the shadow of FPL's Turkey Point and spent most of my boating time launching adjacent to it. It's going through a series of upgrades including installation of a massive transformer to increase capacity. This created a large number of jobs for qualified, trained tradesmen but FPL has been forced to bring in oversees workers to handle a share of these tasks. Talking welders, pipe fitters, boilermakers, electricians etc. because they couldn't find enough qualified trades to perform these needed jobs. I would imagine that will be the case at CR.

Love them or hate them, trade unions finest work was in training. There's a boxcar load of engineers out of work up here and it's a good bet they can't weld a lick.

At least the one I know can't.
