After all the discussion about the FB stern, is the classic bow discernable?

It
is
a classic bow.
FB bows are not unlike the bows you'd find in plywood boats. Practically no compound curve where the topsides, especially at the bow, flow up to meet the rail. It may be, and I'd guess it was, that the mold for the FB was just a simple plywood boat. First picture in your post is not a FB... the second two are.
This picture really shows up the flat topsides of a FB:
Even at a distance you can spot a FB:

Eagle eyes (JimCT and RickK). You guys have seen so many you could complete the photos both underwater and above decks.
The first is 1974 19-6 which includes strakes, maybe classic but not FlatBack.
Second pic I'm told is from AS 19-1 (or 19-6) mold that Proline extended 1 foot per contract to be "different". Built in 1968 redone in 2000 and sure does look like AS FB as in these pics.
Third pic is actually the same "22-2 FB Diver" that Jim pasted as an example on minmum plane.
That FB bow with a simple "fat" or "convex" curve, while good for displacement to pull up over a big wave is also a very wet bow until some spray rails are applied as in these pics. The minimal flare from that sharp "battleship" keel can make driving a challenge since it can grab a wave and veer off sharply. We'll try to post some side and stern shots next.
Would there be any utility to an AS hull section in galleries, or ...
where one could compare the lines and pro and cons of each model?
Thanks,
Those guys

Revisit this thread and see how you do - is it a FB or not. No Cheating, start at the top.

flatback's can be easily spotted out on the water while running from a mile, no other hull throws the spray out like it
