We had one in the late 70's... 26' cabin, single station flying bridge, flush deck,
with twin 360ci Chrysler V-8's.
Pro's
Fast- Easily pushed 40 mph
Draft- 17" at rest with fully recessed running gear. You could take it about anywhere.
Built like a brick
house.
Very nice ride, you had to work to make it pound.
Con's
Bad prop ventilation offshore, when you would come off the top of a swell, lots of slippage, even with the heavy cup semi surface propellers.
Very noisy- between engine noise and the water blasting through the tunnels, ours had these fiberglass deflectors (factory) mounted to the transom to contain noise and prop wash. At cruise, reminds you of row 36 A on a MD-88.
1-1.5 mpg at best.
