This thing is cool. It has 2 small baitwells in the top cap in the rear right above the transom. You could just throw a few bait fish in there and not have to go to the main livewell everytime you need bait. This boat is just cool. We are going to pull the inboard out and move the fuel tank to the front. And check stringers (redo), remove wood transom, strengthen transom. I will post picks on the rebuilds section when it gets started. Just wanted to show it off.

well I didn't figure that I would keep it. I knew my nephew would want it. But I couldn't sit back and watch it go by. The inboard is coming out. Porta Bracket time.

If the nephew doesn't want it....maybe you and new member Cap E can get together. A 240 Seahunter...was and remains the queen of the seventies fleet.
Makes for an easier closed-transom rebuild....the transom is in. Pretty curves on the old inboard transoms too.
For a recent quality inboard rebuild, see Thermal's excellent 22-2 skin-up build, here on Rebuilds.

I love the old 240's. I have one that was converted into a center console, but the floor and transom and all wood was rotted, so I am rebuilding it now. But I am considering going back with the original design, side console with seating in up front, behind the cabin. I love center consoles, but I think the side console gives more room. I saw this 240 in Marathon last week. I looked all original, and wow, there is so much room with the side console. I loved the top.

The more I look at it the more I want to keep it. I think I have an addiction.
