I love it when
« on: July 02, 2012, 04:34:11 PM »
the local shrimping season opens.  AL waters opened Wednesday.  Friday I got 6 lb of 6-10 count shrimp for $3.50/lb on ice.

I boiled some.  The daughter sauteed some in bacon grease    and she made cheese grits with fresh Gouda cheese she brought down from Wisconsin.  Fresh sliced tomatoes from the garden.  Helluva meal.

Sorry, no pics.  There was nothing left to make a picture of.

I'm sure this place is under the table as far as the seafood goes.  It's just a little country gas station that carries an odd assortment of stuff.  Seafood and fresh catfish, deer corn, deer food plot seed, dog & chicken feed, non-ethanol gas.  All seafood stuff does not get rung on the register.  They log that in a little notebook.
