Baitwell light
« on: June 12, 2012, 07:29:11 AM »
Picked up a leaning post livewell for the 22-2 and I want to put a light in it.

I've been "told" to put it in the bottom of the well, lookin' up. I can do that but I have better access to install in the sidewall near the bottom.

Does it really matter?

Thanks.

I originally installed a light on the side of my livewell for the same reason you describe, easy of access. What I found was the bait would hide in the bottom of the well below the light which made the light useless.  If you can get it close enough to the bottom it may work, but on the bottom pointing up is the way to go.
