Ahhhhh Spring is in the air....almost!    Anyways, just picked up the new used/ replacement console from paint. one coat of primer/sealer and 3 coats of white.

If things go according to plan, I'll be heading to rhody next sat to drop it off at the mech's and start removing the old console.  The steering system will be replaced with a sea star pro sys and the t-top mounted (hopefully this can all be accomplished before the spring run starts!!!)

A little more progress...

going for a less cluttered look on the console so I'll be aquiring/building a box that mounts to the t-top for the vhf radio and the toggle switches.  looking at the bottom of the boat it looks like I'll be spending some time on my back scraping and re-painting the hull probably start that next weekend.  in the last photo my 88 222 parts boat is in the background.

another task completed...Bottom paint!
before....

After...

took 2 saturdays to do the job, next saturday all that's left is painting where the boat jacks and cribbing were.  there had to of been 20 lbs. of dried barnacles on the boat, now that there gone, I'm guessing I'll see better fuel milage and top end speed.  this fall when I pull her out it will be straight to a car wash!!
Anyone able to recommend a product that will clean up the sides from top of bottom paint to the rub rail.  It's looking quite shabby now that the bottom is done.
Thanks, Steve A.

Back in her slip for another season...couldn't find a t-top mounted electronics box that worked for me and my budget so we mounted the toggles on the console and the vhf on a bracket inside the console.  I also added a second lowrance hds5 gps/fishfinder.  any one have experience with these units?  I'm thinkiking about purchasing a navionics gold sd chip but was wondering if they're worth the money. any feedback would be appreciated.  Also hit a top speed of 43.2 mph about 5mph better than last season with the barnacles attached!  heading out tomorrow to try and catch some stripers and figure out the gps mapping (gonna bring the book this time lol)  hopefully i'll have some fish photos to post up later!
tight lines everyone!

That's motivation!  Any thought of custom building an electronics box? Nice project in between Striper runs... :D

ElGuapo222, looks like you've been deleting images or moving them around in your photo bucket acct. See the 3rd post up from here.

yes, apparently when I uploaded the images I must have clicked twice or something and every image was doubled in photobucket so I was cleaning up/deleeting the duplicate photos didn't realize that they would dissappear from here also.

dburr....Yes I have thought about building a custom box.  more than likely it won't get started until the off season.

Yup, and anywhere else you posted them.
You can edit the post above (edit button in the bottom of that post) and then change the filename in the IMG links to the real image name. Simple enough fix.
