How to get a title for a complete rebuild?

Hey guys i wanted to get some info of how to get a title to a boat with no type of id#"s.
i bought the boat with a bill of sale. The boat was completely striped down to fiberglass hull only.
the hull has a brand new full transome. Thank you for any info

Homemade boat? If that is available they will assign numbers.

Most states will title a boat if you have a notarized bill of sale with the HIN listed.

Different states have different procedures and requirements.
In Fla. it can be a real PITA. I have been through it and will never do it again.

P.S. I will NEVER buy a boat with out a clean title again.

MA is the same PITA. Without a clean title to start, you're going to go through hell to get a boat registered or not at all.
