Dr. Jeff Masters page is where I go for tropical weather.  He predicted what was going to happen in New Orleans with Katrina 24 hours before the others put out warnings.

We were coming home from dinner last night, and past the junior college campus, and I saw the car, so I made Susie turn around and head into the the parking lot so I could take a shot, according to the security guard,he warned him, but the guy said he would be back in time.... Guess not.  He said the deputy couldn't imagine why all the lights and  everything. On the car was going hay wire.... Guess the car being flooded had nothing to do with that... No one said an education was cheap... :scratch:
