Pete, thank you my friend.

I don't know...I'm famous for whizzing good money after bad. Showed it to Carolyn tonight, first thing she said..."Is that supposed to be NEW?"

She doesn't miss much.

I'll work on it tomorrow, and post some pics.

Thanks

Actually, I think a destroyer is absolutely tailor made for a Seastar system, 5 or 6 spoke, or whatever.  The amount of spokes keeps you from thinking your wheel is "off center" (off center from what?  It's the visual cue...) as opposed to a 3 spoke wheel...

Maybe I've been in the boat biz too long, bling doesn't register with me.  Show me a neat and tidy engine room...I'm happy.

Thats a good point Bob.

Speaking of Seastar I noticed some drips from mine in the splash well.  Need to get some 5606 I guess.

Or need to get the seal kit?  Just add some fluid if the helm port is low, see how it behaves over the coming weeks.  If you can live with it, cool.

I'll tell you what, Bruce, Teleflex sells the whole package with the end caps, but they aren't the problem.  Any hydro shop has the o-rings you need (that's all they are) at a FRACTION of the kit.  Pull off a cap and take the rings to the shop.  I have the spanner wrench to take off the end caps, you can use it...but I want it back!

Doc, thanks a bunch :thumright:

Guys went ahead and sprung for the 13 inch Edson, stainless with satin finish, rubber under-grips.

Came in Monday, looks great!

The almag satin finish Edson I sent to Matt. He's very happy, it is now on his upper station. So he now has two matching wheels. That wheel they no longer manufacture, so a pretty safe guess his boat is one of a kind. Go Matt

The Edson wheel from Scott is sweet, finally got it mounted up top .Just took me finding the time and going to discount auto to buy a $20 wheel puller. The sea choice $100 wheel was already rusted after only 4 months.   I did not ever think I was going to find the matching edson wheel to the lower station,  Scott your the man
