Warning shots?  The only good Somali pirate is a dead Somali pirate.

Warning shots were on target!  I hate pirates!   :pirat:

Anybody read Joshua Slocomb's book about the first man to sail around the world single-handed?  He has some cool stories about encountering pirates back in the day...  But he lacked M-16 or AR-15 firepower.

A friend of mine from Ft. Lauderdale is Merchant Marine.  A few years back he was Chief Engineer on a tanker that traveled those waters.  They had two .50 cal. machine gun mounts on each side and the weapons were in lockers close by.  They did practice with them but never had the "opportunity" to actually use them as far as I know.

I'm surprised they didn't have anything heavier than m4 carbines but I guess they worked!
