Lots of choices for food there! Definitely try Louisiana Lagniappe, Dewey's Destin (awesome view of the bridge and inlet), and the Donut Hole for breakfast. Go across the bridge towards Fort Walton u-turn back and turn into lot on west side of bridge. This gives you access to fish under the bridge or walk and fish all the way out onto the west jetties on the inlet. Pompano, reds, trout, sharks, you never know what will show up. The current through there can really get ripping so make sure you have enough weights. Right now your best bet to actually catch something (being boatless) is to cross the bridge again and fish on the Okaloosa pier. Spanish, cobia, big kings, pompano, reds, you name it, it is there right now. Half Hitch tackle right on 98 is the best source for what is going on.
I myself have been contemplating driving down next week to fish the piers in Navarre or Okaloosa, maybe we can meet up and try them out! I will PM you my cell # give me a call!
This is a link to a report about what is being caught off the pier yesterday. It sounds like it is on!
