Mounted the trolling motor today. Decided to cut the bow rail. I like the support of it with the kids so this was the only option.
I hate the black - but it was free, I will switch with a saltwater wireless when I can afford it - which will probably be never!!
The crown on the bow was a little of an issue. I went with nylon spacers on two of the holes. It is very tight now - I will keep an eye on it as the base is only catching half of one of the spacers. If they compress there will be loosening.
The mount is also not long enough with the 50" shaft - I will have to manually extend with the column to full depth when running then "choke up" when I run - kind of a pain but if I do not do it - this is what happens. Is there an inexpensive fix for this?
Left to do - thread the battery cables from the console to the bow. I have ordered a 50 amp breaker and an in-line quick connector.
A little original badging to sign out on.
