One Christmas, long ago, a Lt. Col. introduced me to Maker's.
It's been my standard drink for some time now.
I don't drink like the old days but I consider myself fortunate to be able to drink at all.
Best thing about drinking the same brand for so many years is everyone knows what to get.

The last time i bought a bottle of Crown i almost bought Makers instead, I haven't tried it yet, might be a silly question but how does it compare Crown ?

I'm not a Crown drinker so I can't say. I don't mix anything with the MM though so.....
Do you take it straight or mixed?
I would think if you're mixing say soda or juice they may taste similar since the large part of the flavor in that style of drink seems to be generated by the mixer.

CB,
Happy New Year, and congrats on all of that high quality corn squeezin' !!

You are definitely generating some positive Karma over there, as you are perfectly awash in the stuff.

I have been drankin' Maker's for some time - neat - just like you.  You are just the person to convert to George Dickel Old # 12.

I know you'll have to squeeze the Dickel in between all that other Maker's, but give it a go.  For me, night and day....and the

Maker's is real good stuff !!   Anyhoo, Happy New Year, and hope you'll be catching tons of fish in the new year  :salut:

Very cool!

Looks like Papa Bear, Momma Bear, and Baby Bear...the Three Bears

Hey, thats a good pic of you too Bob :thumright:

That Makers is a great bourbon. That's what I drink at restaurants, as they never have 'ol Dorge. I'm with Trace, you should give #12 a whirl. Just a tad sweeter than Makers...but not nearly as sweet as Crown.
