Remember to hook up!
« on: January 16, 2012, 11:35:14 AM »
Dealer/Owner did not attach the bow hook or rear connections - boat slid off trailer going down the highway!

Don't forget to strap that thang down!

Dragging the back end over the pavement won't help either!

Hi Scott, I am taking it to your guy on Thursday.
I asked him if while he's in there if we should do the trim seals, my thinking is that they are probably original so might as well get it over with while he has it. He didn't seem real pumped about that but did say it depended on how corroded they were.  He asked if they were leaking and I told him about us tightening down the manual trim screw after the engine was raised and that it went straight back down - so I thought there must be a leak.  We'll see what he thinks - the good thing about this engine is it's really not very corroded back in the trim area, guess it wasn't in the water much?  I think I'll have him service the lower unit while he has it.  Should be back in business soon.

Sounds good Rick, can't wait to team up again, had alot of fun last time and i have alot more holes to fish. Walt is a straight shooter, he's not into selling things that don't need to be done, about time for me to run mine by him for a few things also, think I'm going to have him do my helm seals and lower unit while he has it, also the lower on my kicker motor.

Sounds like now is a good time - seems he's pretty slow.  And he doesn't live where he works - his shop is on 20th St, east side of 301.
