Here is pictures of my 2009 31' Ocean Master Custom Center Console. I have been a paraplegic for the past 23 years. I have owned and operated all types of offshore boats with my last one being a 42' Ocean Yachts Sportfish that was totaled during hurricane Katrina when it was in Alabama being repainted. It had been totally repainted with Awlgrip except for the bottom. The shafts were still out and the storm flooded the entire marina and my boat filled with saltwater.

I had this boat built totally wheelchair accessible.

I bought the 170 Aquasport as a project for me and my son to do this winter. It is coming along very well and everything is still solid.

Thanks to this forum I can do it right..!!

kraw, that is very nice work!  The one thing a large console affords you is the ability to get components, wiring, hoses, etc., spaced out, neat, and functional.  The 170?  She'll be a REAL challenge to get the console looking like the OM!!!

To be honest with you, I've never been a fan of terminal strips.  They basically take the place of plugs.  99% of the time (except for Molex plugs), electrical issues don't occur in them, they occur either at the appliance (lamp, pump, gauge, whatever) or at the switch and breaker that control them.  Although terminal strips are less expensive than Deutsch plugs, one Deutsch can take care of one 12-gang terminal strip, and they're waterproof...

I'll try to remember whats crammed in there. There's a marine head right below the batteries for the girls. A high pressure mister pump from Marine Misters to keep you cool. Autopilot and pump, 30 gallon fresh water tank, and plenty of storage. The console is the "standard" one made by Ocean Master Boats. They have a super console that is much larger. I needed the standard size so my wheelchair will fit around it. I can easily reach in to the battery switches. Soon I will change the battery switches to the BEP combiners.

Thanks for the compliments.

Have you ever though about BEP's motorized batt switches?  Control them from toggle switches on the helm.

We used them on Proline's 35 express...
