Anti-Corrosion coating
« on: January 04, 2012, 10:56:32 AM »
This is the coating I used on my tank to seal it against moisture and humidity.  Condensation on the deck plates when I opened it yesterday just beads up when it drips on the surface. This is a really neat product for interior use only.

Sounds like it is very similar to Acf-50 or Boeshield used to protect aircraft.  Good find

It seems this product is the same as Corrosion X heavy Duty. It comes in the green can and is very thick.

Have researched the Amber Anti-Corrosion.

Lew's new product, rather than thick...is thin. Wax-based. Light coating that permeates the aluminum substrate. Designed to adhere to fresh aluminum.

The good news....anti-corrosion. Aluminum in a salt water environment corrodes on its own. Quickly.

Look no farther than the legs of a T-top. Particularly at the weld joints.
