Just got a 1998 175 osprey with 98 johnson 90 special and 98 trailer. All in near perfect condition. Just curious what the value is? I got it for $4900 I thought it was a good deal.

A boat is worth what someone is willing to pay for it.  Prices vary, like gas mileage.  So if you are happy with your deal - it's good!  You are now a very well respected Aquasport owner - is there a price for that?  Go dude!!

Absolutely

You are now a card-carrying, bona-fide, Classic Aquasport owner; and that is something money can't buy. Especially when you're at the end of your rope. May not be your rope...may be another owner's tow-rope

Welcome aboard

And all kidding aside...Congratulations :thumright:

I bought a similar boat at the end of July this year and I am also in the Boston area.  Mine is also a 98 Aquasport 175 in great condition but has a 1998 115 HP Evinrude.  The motor was just rebuilt right before I bought it and it runs great so far .  Also included the original trailer that was fixed up a bit too.  I paid 5500 and thought I got a good deal too.  I think the 5k range is fair for a boat like this in good condition in MA.
Have fun - I have enjoyed mine the last couple months and I'm sad that I have already winterized the outboard (forecast 4 inches of snow tonight!)

bmoz,

I have not a clue whether that is a good deal - I am inclined to agree with the notion that if YOU are happy with the outcome of your purchase, the rest of the world be damned.

In any case, we are happy that you joined the site, and I am sure you will learn lots and have a few chuckles reading some of the antics the members report.

Congratulations on your new baby (photos are encouraged !  especially of your fishing adventures ! :compress: ) and enjoy your Aquasport!
