Joe's moms New England style Cole Slaw

Here is one from the Berkshires!  This was also a hit at the reunion!

Joe's Mom's Famous Cole Slaw

1 large cabbage, chopped coarsley
1 1/2 cups carrots, shredded
1 cup green pepper, chopped
1/4 cup onion, chopped
1 cup mayo mix with 1/2 cup sour cream
3 tbsp sugar
3 tbsp vinegar
1/2 tsp pepper
1 1/2 tsp salt
3/4 tsp dry mustard
1/3 tsp celery seed
Garnish with pepper rings and sprinkle dill over the top

combine cabbage, carrots, green pepper and onion. Set aside. Combine mayo, sugar, vinegar, salt and pepper, mustard and celery seed to make dressing.  Stir well. Pour dressing over cabbage mixture and toss well. Add garnish, chill. Serve.

If you want to make it a little hotter back off on the mayo a little and replace with  horseradish.

Lew, good stuff. I always enjoy new twists, and this slaw recipe qualifies.

She knocked this out of the park guys. Was served at the shrimparoo Friday night. REALLY good. Thanks Lew and Bridget!

On a secondary note...the activity on this thread this evening is probably the most in a three hour time period ever.

Which is a shame, because everyone has great recipes they enjoy sharing with family and friends.

So, much like Lew's "Stop lurking and start posting" thread....Please don't be shy posting your favorite recipes here. Especially our new members, wherever you may hail from!

Thanks!
