Just from looking at this, do you think a 175 will fit on this trailer  / is this a good style trailer?  Ive heard bunks are better than rollers, and this is ridiculously cheap.  No rust from what I can tell.  Never seen a bunk / roller type trailer like this.  I  need to put about $200 into my trailer to get it going well, thinkig it might make sense to grab this one.  Please let me know your opinion, if you know anything about trailers.

That is an odd trailer, if I was you I'd fix the trailer you have or keep looking.

We had one sort of similar for a Carolina Skiff.  Could get it loaded/unloaded in some pretty shallow stuff if you were willing to use the motor to get the job started.

Jim that rig is going to cost you more to build up for a v bottom then what you will spend on your trailer..  Assuming that the box tubing is 3 inch, a bottle of good Abbey Ale says the 17 wouldn't fit, the frame is not  wide enough..

It is set up for a Carolina type skiff, if you have something that has a flat bottom then $150 isn't bad.

Passed.  Gonna just fix up my existing trailer.  Really only bought $120 worth of parts: 2 new pivot bars, a keel roller and jack wheel.  The elbow grease it's gonna take to get the old rusted bolts off is what I'm worried about,

You can reduce the elbow grease to 1/10 with one of these and some cutoff wheels.  To hell with rusty bolts, cut them off.

Cutoff wheels are a wonderful thing. Replace with stainless.
