Given, 9/11/01 was a tragedy and a day we will never forget and never should forget. But, some positive things came from the aftermath of that day. We, as Americans, we're brought together in unity in light of a new type of war and a new type of enemy that we previously thought could never affect us in the way that they did. 9/11/01 broke our complacency and our sense of invulnerability, which was a good thing. It woke the world up to the effects that Terrorism could have on all of us, globally, and though the war on terror will likely continue to be fought for years to come, it will likely unite the world in fighting against a common enemy - that's a good thing.I recently watched a really good special on the History Channel: "Targeting Bin Laden". It was edge-of-your seat entertaining. Say what you want about Obama, the fact that Bin Laden was killed under his direction whilst he was in office will be his legacy, aside from any of the perceived negative impacts he may have on America. The show ended with this quote, "After ten years of hiding and eluding the U.S., the last thing Bin Laden saw was the scope on a Navy Seal's gun."
