The weekend is coming and it is sopposed to be great weather.....  I am going to get this thing flipped and dry run it on the trailer.  If all works out I may be able to get it wet this weekend on a trip with a buddy of mine!  I want to get a few runs in before I put the wife and kids onboard.

I have to give this option a shot first as I can not afford to buy a new steering unit at this time.  I really can't thank all of you enough for all of the advise and selfless time you have spend working out ideas with me !

Have a great weekend and wish me luck men !

Have at it, Chris!  Let us know the outcome!

Of all the boating sites out there, and there are a bunch, this is the best.  We are a family, afterall... :thumleft:  :thumleft:

Damned Nor' Easter messed up my only day to get out ... next week maybe...

It turns out a few sailors went overboard in this storm on the Cape.  All safe and sound thanks to the great efforts of the Hyannis Coast Guard. What is amazing is that I was standing in my back yard in Falmouth and saw the chinook ch-47 go overhead.  You know they dont fly a chopper in a Nor'Easter just for fun.  You have to have such respect for the men and ladies who risk thier lives to save others selflessly.

Talked to BlackfinMike and his buddy yesterday, Long Islanders, said the weather was miserable...

If you guys remember, went up there last October to work on Mike's Blackfin, due back here on Friday, they had a little pissant N'oreaster.  Got to MacArthur Airport in Islip at 1 in the afternoon...got home here at 12:30 in the morning..... :x  :x  :x  :x  :x

I hope that all of you are safe and sound after weathering Irene!

It looks as if this issue is now corrected.  Took her out for a few hours the other day through some trials and she did me proud ! I think that I will be looking to upgrade to a new unit over the winter this year, unless of course I have my hands full from storm damage after this weekend.

Tight lines
