22-2 CCP left for dead!
« on: June 14, 2011, 04:08:56 PM »
Here is a 1977 22-2 CCP.  Think it was called an open fisherman then?  Anyway,  found this in Harker's Island, NC last year.  Stopped and paid the ole girl a visit last week.  What a waste :!:

Tried to get up with the owner last year with no luck.  Still sitting in the same place and rotten :!:   You can lean over the side and make the deck flex with your index finger    Still seems to be some decent parts on her.    Just thought I would share this

Looks like all the parts are there - could be a project boat for someone!  Re-do the deck and transom, rewire, sand/gelcoat/buff/paint, and she could be brought back!

I wonder what would jump out at you from that anchor locker

Hate to see such a great model in that shape.

Little small people that have set up shop!  Hell, why not just back the truck up to her and pull her away?  Seems no one in the vicinity gives a rats ass about her... :x

No telling what is in the anchor locker as well as the boat :pale: Wanted to get up in there and look in the coffin box.  Who knows what you might find in there :batman:

I was hoping that jd was able to find the owner last year, that would have been a great project boat!

This boat would need a complete rebuild from the stringers up.  Chances are it will end up at the county dump
