I'm looking into buying an Aquasport 290 XF (29'). Seems like a great boat for the price. But it doesn't have a generator.

Any 290 owners here ever add a generator? Where did you put it? It would be a shame to have to empty the galley and shut everything down that isn't 12V every time I leave the dock.

Is their any room below decks between the motors? Westerbeke's 3KW has a pretty small footprint. Or you could always use the RickK method, a Honda EU2000 on deck....

There is some room between the engines, not much. More space further aft between the shafts, but there's a fighting chair and two boxes to contend with there. I was hoping to avoid canibalising the below deck storage, but might have to.
