I see one red flag on the engine view... Looks like pretty substantial support plating on the transom; nice job however. Still indicates a need for some transom work. I don't think this is give her a bath and go by any means like Lewis' was. I see trim plates; if they are Bennetts they probably still work. Looks like a $1000 boat to me if the trailer rolls. I don't think I've ever seen a rebuild on a WAC. Perhaps you can be the first! I started one on a 24' Sportcraft WAC about 15 years ago and actually got the entire cap and inner liner out with a few cuts here and there. The epoxy bond to the stringers was poor so with the help of some oak trees, timbers and two come-a-longs she came apart in one piece. Is this boat still in Florida by it's registration?

Thanks, He is asking $1000, would you haggle that price? I believe its in AL now.

That boat needs alot of work, every dollar that you don't spend will go right back into her,if I could'nt get that boat mucho cheapo, see you later!Lets say you give him $5oo,then decide its too much of a project,OK,part out the engine if it doesnt run $500+ right there, and if the trailers in good shape maybe $500 for it.But you have to do all the work, your time is worth money, the hull is a wash,it needs more put into it than its worth,it may clean up with several gallons of bleach, but if it needs a transom thats several grand right there, not saying what you should do,but there could be a way out if you decide its to much, parts for those outboards sell well on ebay,CL.It would be a grat rig if you are willing to invest the needed time/$. Good luck,we are here if you need help. :salut:

Chances are the boat isn't going anywhere. Keep looking and let him call you. Pete is right, this a project from day one; many thousands of dollars and hundreds of hours to bring her back to life. You could easily put $20K in her with new power. There are lots of turn the key and go boats for sale and with $4 a gallon gas around the corner, probably some really great deals on the horizon.

Good advice by all.

Rode by the field this morning where her twin was. Its gone.

No problem. It was basically a fiberglass hot tub.

Well I was honestly wanting a project not necessarily a complete restoration but it could be fun. And i have thought about it will probably sit because i dont think its actually listed for sale, he just contacted me because i was looking for a project boat, but i didnt want to low ball him either. I would feel more comfortable picking it up for around $500 though.

offered $500, He declined. He hasnt really gave me any info on condition, so i asked to be more detailed and asked to look at it, he seems firm on $1000(cant say i blame him, but i would like a little more info). I was assuming it had been sitting several years and basically needed everything gone through, with some transom and floor repairs.

Hate to say it, but i think the boat with my name on it is a 16ft bass boat that needs the floors replaced and new tires on trailer, and honestly a project that i feel very confident with.

The seller is what keeps me worried about the WAC. He has never given any real info, basically i have this for $ if your interested, then when i asked when the last time the motor was ran he said hasnt ran in a while(exact words). I think i should pass on this one.
