I got a few more things done today. I need another full day of odds and ends and then its go time! I'm planning for April 2nd as my first striper trip.

 

I had the cover re-stitched

Re-covered seat


Buffed and waxed

Whoa, you have the optional port lounge seat...I have a story about one that was installed AFTER the boat was decked...

Thanks for the compliments, its getting there.  I went back and forth over whether to keep the lounge seat or replace it with a pedestal.  In the end I had the seat recovered and I'm glad I did.  With 2 young boys the seat is going to work out better than a pedestal even though I do give up alot of fishing room.

Bob, the wiring on this boat is top notch!  Everything is organized in a nice orderly run, a testament to your workmanship.  I did have to work on the rubrail insert, it had popped out at the pulpit on both sides.  I was able to heat it with a heat gun and stretch it back into the grove with a little persuasion from a rubber malllot.  I still have to install the Airmar p79 transducer, bimini, enclosure, and cushions and will hopefully go for my first run in a week or two weather permiting.  April 2nd is still the date I'm shooting for fishing.
