Anybody need a Full Bracket
« on: March 03, 2011, 07:55:58 AM »
Looks like a "Stainless Marine" brand full bracket, had one on my last boat, very nice.  He say's Brand New, and I'm sure price is negotiable.  As always, if some wants eyes on it, let me know.

I like the full platform, but would still need a jackplate. The cost of the 2 of them would be about the same as a new Porta bracket.

I'm currently in Tampa bay area where the Porta bracket is pretty nice, but will also be in the Savannah area some where I understand Porta brackets aren't that popular.

Also curious about weight difference between the two set ups. Motor is 150 Yamaha OX66 on 1970 22-2.

Opinions please...

Thanks.

Why do you need the jack plate?? wrong length shaft??  I wouldn't combine the two, the stainless marine bracket I had on my last boat actuall provides some degree of flotation, because center cavity is hollow, they are made from aluminum, so much lighter than stainless steel.
