If its not the water pump or tell tale line
« Reply #15 on: December 20, 2006, 02:16:18 PM »
I have the same motor and my tell tale line was clear and I replaced the entire water pump and housing with no luck still...checked the overheat alarm and it was working... :?   So I talked to my mechanic and he told me it was the "poppit valve" so I ordered one from the merc. website and its a complete kit and had him replace it for 30 bucks..now the water's a streamin' like a champ.. 8)  :o
