246 ccp questions
« on: December 07, 2005, 02:55:22 PM »
I'm trying to find out the deadrise on a 246 ccp aquasport 1981 model.  Thinking about an in hull transducer and need to know this.  Also if anyone knows the hull bottom thickness in the bilge area it would be nice.

Overall love this boat it is a great ride if seas are not stacked.  The boat is redone and now has a full transom with armstrong brackets.  I'll get some pictures posted when I figure that out.

Thanks in advance for any help.

According to an Aquasport brochure that I posted on the site, the deadrise is 19 degrees

yeah, maybe, that is just the angle from the transom to the keel that the manufacturer of the bracket requires for building the bracket.  Measured it with a square per their requirements.  mine is also an 81 246ccp

I have a 1981 Brochure and Spec Sheet.  Here's the info on the 246CCP:

Length:  24'6"
Beam: 8'0"
Draft, hull: 12"
Transom height:  25" single, 20" dual
Weight:  2600 lbs
Capacity:  2250 lbs
Max HP:  280
Fuel capacity:  125 gal
Hull type:  Deep V, 20 degree deadrise
Available with an optional factory fiberglass T-top, and a bow pulpit was standard.  There was also a factory tower with dual controls was also available.

I hope this helps!
