Twin Problem
« on: December 22, 2005, 07:14:17 PM »
I just now discovered that if I want to put twin 135 E Tecs on My 222 ccp 1978 AQP  that the stringers restrict my assess to the bolt pattern for the twin setup? Also in looking at the original specs they refer to 245 as being the max HP any body run into this problem  .  Capt RC

Sounds like a big problem, but an odd one.  222 should be able to handle twins.  The old OMC 120's were V-4's so logically you should be able to do it.  I'm not too familiar with the transom layout on the 222's, so I can't comment very accurately on the subject.  How did you arrive at this conclusion, just out of curiousity?  Also, a bracket could be a solution to consider here.
