Best decision you could have made DDD222 ,been hearing lots of problems with 250 and 300 hpdi. Not as bad with smaller ones. I like big single vs. twins. Troll alot so use high thrust kicker, keeps hours off expensive engine and uses little fuel. Came in on 9.9 45 miles out,6-7 mph.Use it in sloppy seas alot, never have a problem venting out.Only problem would be getting into some of our inlets,IE. currents, would have to wait out for favorable tide to get in on small power.Love the single vs twin debate, both have advantages.Great site, keep it up!!!!!

with a single 250 ox66 I could top out around 40mph, I too would have to see an old AS do 70mph with twin 150s.  More than likely would do 60mph
