I tell ya, this cold weather has got to end, look what it has done to our favorite hang out.... think I saw a polar bear last weekend out there....

Yep.  Normally this time of year my 13 yr. old dog likes to lay out in the sun.  The past week she goes and does her business and is right back to the door.  I have only been out to get the mail.   :(

I know I have one oak that has dropped 1.25 35gal cans of acorns so far and this is not a big oak - did the same thing last year and you know what happened then weather-wise.  The other oak I have didn't drop much of anything and it's a lot healthier, older and bigger  :scratch:

All the "experts" are saying warm and wet winter due to La Nina.  I think the acorns and squirrels are probably a better indicator.  My tomatoes are doing just fine.  Don't need a freeze this winter.
