Biggest size was 24' in '98 they say.  Hmmm, I know they made a 275 Explorer - maybe they started later?

We did.  Brian Buck (my boss), Matt Baily (my inspector), and me.  3 tournaments we got to play with her.  She was wet behind the helm in nasty gulf chop, but in the rippled bay she would see 54 MPH...

Once you pilot from that upper station, you don't want to go back down below!  What you can see from up there! :thumleft:

Thanks for sharing, fellas.

Anyone know what Aquasports sold for back then as new boats?  I've had a couple people ask me what my 225 Osprey would have cost new, and   I dunno!

Since resources are limited on original, unless we have a former Aqua dealer on this site, I went here. How accurate is it :?:  I have no idea.

I ran this with absolutely no options on the boat. Put in what you have and see if it affects the retail cost.

Yep, I think that's about right for today's price.  I'm curious what MSRP would have been back in 1997. Maybe somebody on here bought their AS new?

My 97 Explorer was around 32 out the door with trailer, list was around 27,looking back i can't believe i spent that, but i still love the boat and don't plan on getting ride of her so i guess it was worth it,but today's prices would be at least 50.That nada is way off.

Well.....
I think it is...maybe.
Here's why.

NADA doesn't have anything to go on to show today's cost (for a 97 product no longer in production) but they may have records of what the MSRP was in 97. I always felt that was the case.  Logically, you would want to compare the original MSRP with the current resale /market value.
If you were buying a used 2009 model, you may want to know the retail that year so as to see how much value it has lost or retained.
Same would be true for a 97. Unless I'm missing something here, who would want to know some hypothetical cost of a 97 Aqua in 2010.
It's not apples to apples, IMHO.
