Leaking hatch

Hello everyone. I have a 215 explorer hatch on cuddy is leaking it seems to be around the frame what's the best fix for this rubber gasket material? Boat life? Lookin for the best way to fix this  How is it done on the factory?   alot of rain lately in New York. Gettin my cushins wet  help!!!!!!!!!!

Your best bet is to remove the hatch, remove all the old bedding, and re-bed...with enough 5200/4200 that you get considerable squeeze-out when you re-install...

I hear 5200 NEVER comes off is that true? And is 4200 better to work with and also is there any rubber gasket in there??? Thanks for the help

Contrary to popular belief, if you soak the bond line with acetone, and use a wooden/plastic scraper, 5200 will come off...

I have found that rubber gasket "round the edge" moulding at my local marine supply store here in Fla. I did'nt realise how bad mine was till I saw it new. It might help to replace it all together.
