69 19-1 made me proud
« on: October 05, 2010, 08:29:13 PM »
This weekend I had one of the best days on the water I ever had. I completed my first inshore slam (speckled trout, flounder, and redfish). Got a ton of compliments on my boat. But to top it off I idled past my buddys hewes bonefisher while he was hung up on a bar in about 11 inches of water. It was priceless to see the look on his face as I passed him. The best was when he called me today looking to get a classic aquasport hull...

Cbulls,
Congrats!  But down here, we have a different "near shore slam".   Trout, snook, redfish, and tarpon...although a fresh caught flounder makes for a great shore lunch...breaded and fried, on a soft roll with homemade mayo, light...

Snook, 1 1/2" cubes, Golden Dip't Fish and chips batter with a half can of room temp beer...Yum Yum...

BTW, never prepare snook with the skin on.  That's where they got the old nickname "soapfish"...
