Nice rigging work !  We sold her as a bare hull after the re-build.  The sole is nida-core, the casting deck is Divincell foam core.

Shine,
You guys did a great job on the boat, too bad whoever rigged it performed the abortion that she was!  Not any more...

Gauge panels often get overlooked.  Thought I'd have some fun this morning.  Before...

After...

Just the way I think they should look...

Fellow Boaters,

As someone who works on a daily basis handling patient complaints about poor service, I know all too well that it is much easier to complain about lousy service than it is to give praise for good service. After my experience with having Bob do several jobs for me, I just wanted to take a few moments to give him credit for what I feel is likely the best service I've experienced as a consumer in the marine service industry.

Some time ago, I purchased this hull from Shine. As anyone who followed his thread knows, the workmanship on the hull was great. I wanted to have the boat rigged in an equally high quality manner so that it would be as low maintenance and trouble free as a boat could  possibly be. I paid a fairly good price to a facility that rigged the brand new engine and installed a folding tower, gauges, wiring, electronics, etc. I was terribly disappointed when I picked up the boat from the shop as there were numerous issues. The biggest issue was that the shop tried to charge me over $3k more than they quoted me for the work without even giving me a courtesy call to let me know that they were over budget on the job. I couldn't test run the boat at that time as I was told (after the fact, mind you) that they didn't have the ability to initialize the engine. This was the beginning of my nightmare. Suffice it to say that the electrical and rigging work that was was a great disappointment.

Fortunately, I saw Bob's ad on the THT site and gave him a call. He came down and took a look at the boat for me. I was quite surprised to the that he seemed to be genuinely sorry for my experience even though he had nothing to do with it. He gave me a price to "clean up" the mess but his recommendation was to rewire the boat due to the numerous issues that were wrong with it. Because of the size of the job, I agreed to bring the boat to his place. He sent me pictures of the progress and made recommendations along the way. The end result was nothing short of spectacular. Everything works as it should. Everything is labeled so that it will be easy to fix if there is an issue. I even had a compliment on the wiring/re-rigging work by a very respectable marine dealership that did the 100 hour service on my Mercury 150 Optimax who had seen the boat soon after the original rigging was done. Even my best friend, who is the service manager for a large marine sales/service center, was extremely impressed with the wiring that Bob did for me.

Suffice it to say that I can't be more pleased with the work that Bob has done for me. I have another boat that he is completely rewiring for me and his work has been fantastic. He has made numerous recommendations that I would never have thought of and I am absolutely psyched to see the finished product. I've learned a ton about boat wiring/electrical systems just from my interactions with Bob. He is extremely trust worthy; so much so that I gave him my credit card so that he could order anything that was needed to do the work.

The level of service and the quality of his work have been exemplary. I'm usually not the easiest guy to impress, but I am honestly floored by the superb quality of Bob's work. I wouldn't hesitate for a moment to recommend him to others as he has a commitment to service and quality that are very, very difficult to find these days. If you are at all considering having any electrical type work done to your boat, I'd strongly encourage you to give Bob a call. You'll likely come away from the experience like I did; an extremely happy customer and a much more knowledgeable boater.

I would try and add to that but I don't think I could have said it any better. Bob is amazing and you really have to see his work in person to believe. I feel so much safer taking my family out, that alone is worth the $!  If you are ever in Apollo Beach and want to see his work, PM me. Thanks again Bob.
