19'6" open fisherman
« on: October 31, 2005, 11:03:40 AM »
Hi,

Does anyone know if you can put a bow mount trolling motor on a 1978 19'6" open fisherman. I have enough room to mount the bracket for the motor, but I'm not sure on the height I would need. The tallest trolling motor I have found is 52".

I case anyone needs to know; I found the type of trolling motor my boat takes. I need to get a trolling motor that has a shaft that is 50" or more preferably 60" with an 80 pound thrust. Minn Kota makes one called the Maxxum that goes for about $900 and Motor Guide makes a Great White (SW 82) that also works.

That's nice to know.  I plan on one day putting a trolling motor on my bow.
