CCP 200
« on: August 17, 2010, 06:05:42 PM »
For those of you with the ccp 200 model, what are the known issues with these boats? Mine is a 1980 and right before the boat was handed over to me the previous owner(uncle George) had fuel in the bilge when he gassed up one day. Know I'm running tanks on the deck, i did notice the filler hose is severely dry rotted, what are the chances the tank would have a hole in it?

That's what I was thinking, looks like the tank is coming out this winter. Is there a direct replacement tank or am I better off having one made up locally? I can only imagine what's sitting in the the tank anyway. Thanks for the welcome Pete, looks like im full of good news.

Rich, your tank should be about the same as mine.  Search my posts and you can read about how I replaced my fuel tank.

Nice job the on redoing the tank and lid, looks like I need the same. I'm up on Long Island, my boats docked on the south shore in  Patchouge River.

Rich,
Just got back from Ft. Pierce and the Marine Connection Liquidators, when I tell you they have some fuel tanks, I mean hundreds... once you get some measurements give them a call.. the place is like Sam's Club for boats... and Welcome aboard.. http://themarineconnection.net/FuelWaterTanks.html

John Dupree replaced the tank on his 200CCP a while ago - his would be the same as yours.  Check a few posts and send him a PM - I'm sure he would be glad to provide some insights...

Good luck!
