Here is some pages from the '88 Sales book - they offered some form of tops depending on the model of 281 you have






If it is a 290 Tournament Master the top was standard.

Where are you located? I have a 281 with a hardtop that appears to be locally made (RI). That plus curtains makes it a nice dry fishing boat
