Hey-

I just found this website, so I figured I'd say Hi.  I haven't had time to look at everything yet, but I will eventually.

I have a 1975 Aquasport 24' CC, that I have been using to fish for Grouper out of Cedar Key, FL for about 15 years.  It is NOT a pretty boat, but it is tough.  It has outlasted several outboard motors, and even survived coming off the trailer and landing in the highway.

I have several modifications, but they are not what you would call "professional".   Here are a few photos of the beast:

Welcome aboard Bill. That is definitely one "manly" windshield, if you can't hide behind that one..... 8)
How long did it take for the tide to lift you off the dry-dock?

That windshield does the trick, but I have to stand on my toes to see out.  Keeps me dry.  The angles on the front remind me of "stealth technology".

I was doing about 30 knots and had a brain-fart which made me run on the wrong side of the marker even though I had been there 100 times before.   Strong outgoing tide at dawn in December.  We stripped-down, jumped-out and pushed, but it wouldn't budge.  Water was a bit chilly, air was about 35 degrees.  Tide went out and left us high & dry.  Sat there and drank beer all day, waving at everyone else going out on a nice Sunday.  Tide came in at 1PM and floated us off.  No damage, but pretty embarassing; although not as embarrasing as having it come off the trailer on the highway.

I still am baffled by the "post atomic" comment.

I guess you never saw Mad Max with Mel Gibson ((1979) - your boat reminds me of some of the customized monster machines in the movie.
