246 CCP Questions

Does anyone know what kind of numbers I could expect out of a 246 with a single 250 two stroke? Also, what's the general consensus as far as seakeeping on this boat? Should an operator invest in foul weather gear? Does she roll like the 28 and 29's?

i have the 25' ccp and it is a wet ride in anything over 3' seas @ 5sec. I also had a 250 ox66(2stroke). mileage sucks. maybe 1-1.3 mpg on a good day. It is built like a tank though and rides smooth on just about any seas. wetness is the only problem in shortstacked seas. It is actually really nice to have the water hit you on the 90 degree plus days on the gulf coast though especially when there is no winds.......

No 246 experience but tabs made a world of difference in ride and wetness on my 22-2.

the 246 AS is just a very heavy hull that plows into the close following waves in short stacked seas. That is also why it is so smooth.
