First I located the Boats US mag and the photo (as you stated).
Next I saved the photo to my computer (actually a tablet).
Then downloaded the photo to my Photo Gallery (in this Forum) and posted as shown in the link Rick provided.
I'm guessing the file size you have of the photo on your computer is larger than 500KB
Reading the fine print at the bottom of the "
attachments and other options".
Restrictions: "
4 per post, maximum total size 2000KB, maximum individual size 500KB"
I'm guessing it's really meant for attaching files (.pdf) rather than photos since the size is reduced. Using the Forum's Gallery or a third party host (Photo Bucket for instance) if you prefer is the best method for attaching photos in your post. The Gallery will accept any file size photo and then auto-size to fit in the post. Again, follow the link directions for moving the photo from the Gallery to the post. You
do not use the attachment option at the bottom of the "post/reply box". There are some huge scans of catalogs in the Gallery (done for clarity) that then are reduced when placed in a post. Even then, the size allowed in the post is large enough to where scrolling is required on the biggest files.

PS.... The photo size in the mag is only 51+KB so you can see below that it will now load using the attachment option. Clicking on the photo barely enlarges it (due to the file size). Still, using this option requires you reduce the photo (this was already done when the mag was posted on the internet where I got it). Again, since it's safe to assume your computer file was much larger (a few megs at least) you would need to reduce to 500KB first. The beauty of the Forum Gallery is that you load your pics full size and it does all additional sizing automatically.
Try this if you like:
Load your computer image to the Gallery, then put it in a post. I would think you will then see a much clearer pic than the one I posted.
