Glock Diver,

As Cap.n Rick would say, Welcome Aboard! We are all family here, ask questions, we're here, sans attitude.

CCP... Center Console Professional. Aquasport's answer to the Mako challenge of larger offshore rides back in the eighties. Of course, all of these boats look like shrimp nowadays with the trip 350's on the new 36 to 38's . Ching-ching.

Boys, as quickly as the aforementioned excess died, feel the tide has just turned, and times they are a-changing. Warren Buffet instructs to sell when everyone wants to buy, and buy when everyone wants to sell......is this a good time to throw some investment money at the boating industry?

Hi

7 years ago I was looking for a boat, my 5,3 m long Glastron was too small and didn't like waves.
I found one in the internet and tried it with bad sea and was satisfied with the performance.
This was the 250 XF, what I like is that it's a real walkaround, so my little doggy doesn't go over bord even with heavy sea.
Here in Spain it's unique, I didn't see any 250 XF or even another Aquasport.
It's perfect for fishing, and family trips and if the sea gets nasty I don't have any problem to come home.

Regards

like most of the Floridians(if not all) on this site, i was born and raised on the water. my parents kept their old cobia at O'neill's marina which was also an Aquasport dealer. i spent almost every weekend at that marina, while my parents where off cleaning the boat after a days/weekends use, id be hanging out around the new Aquasports. then when the old cobia started falling apart, my parents where considering buying either a 225 or a 245 Explorer. compared to any other boat we/they looked at, the 245 Ex had by far the most deck space, and could fit twin O/B's, which is what they where after as we did multiple offshore trips a month... when i was about 11 years old i saved up christmas and birthday money (and good grades in school money lol) saved up for my first boat, a 12 ft jon-boat 6 hp evinrude... i always wanted a 196/200 osprey and dreamed of owning one always liked the look of the hull, perfect all around boat. basic, how a boat should be: motor, live-well, nav-lights... and now i finally own one!

For me, it was all about being set up for diving. Mine has the transom door and the rear platform for easy entry and exit. The price, construction, layout, etc. etc. were all bonuses!
But the biggest bonus was this forum and Bob's expertise and patience with an Aquasport newbie!  Woo Hoo!!!

My first aquasport was a 70 hull with a 85 Johnson and it is a fishing boat build for fishermen and yes I loved that up swept look (panga style).this boat went everywhere flamingo, pine island, and filled with dolphin here on east coast on good days. Then my baby was born and I was" boat free" for a while. Then some bigger family boats came and went and about eight years ago I wanted another 170 osprey and I found a 86 Hialeah build hull with the original 86 90 hp 4 banger which still runs strong,if it gives up I'll hang a new 90 e-tec on and it will outlast me.I like this boat for many reasons but its cheap to keep and I can easily launch and retrieve it by my self. Some day I'll will it to my daughter she loves it as much as I do.
