Kicker for 225 ex
« on: July 29, 2010, 02:02:28 AM »
I have a 6 hp Johnson sitting in my garage. Was thinking of putting a kicker bracket on the back of the ole boat. My question is ,will it be enough to push the boat , not for trolling but to slow down while drifting or to back off boiler rocks. Kind of use it like an electric trolling motor . For those of you with kickers what are the pros and cons you have found?

Thanks Bob..............................

You read my post on the other thread so I'll just add to it here.
The only thing i don't like is the weight on back corner of  the boat,at speed it's fine because the trim tab compensates for it,but at slow speed or idle it dips,I'm over it now but it took some getting used to,and i don't leave home without it.
