Rick the whole family had a great time and it was fun meeting everyone again,we have a great bunch of people on this forum and its nice putting a face to a name,Akbridge, SnapperWipper, Doc Reed,it was great meeting you all for the first time, hope to see you all again soon.

Rick after dinner and fishing till 10pm i made the suggestion that if we headed in we could be home within an hour and get a good nights sleep, since we were all worn out and sunburned thats what we did and i can say now that was a good choice.

Here are some of the pics i took.

Man o man . Wish I had been there . I'm still breaking in the rebuilt yammy , thought this would be a good chance to put some hours on it . My lady and I went out about 4 pm Friday for a test run . I was on a portable fuel tank with double premix as per instructions for breakin . It ran great , but then had fuel starving problems due to a bad squeeze bulb ( found out later ) and kept stalling out. Got a tow back in from a very nice young couple in a flats boat . His name is Jon and owns Bluewater pro lures. He wouldn't accept anything for his time , so I'm plugging his company and products , sold locally at Economy tackle . I think they are available online as well , but I couldn't find his website .
I will wait for the next round up and I WILL be there , Glad you guys had fun , hope you caught some fish and didn't get too much sun .
Yeah, we were wondering where you were - had you and Skoot been able to come we'd have broken our boat record of nine boats - close but no cigar as they say.

We're going farther south for the next two - Boca Grande, Baby - we're going to investigate hotels/motels in the immediate area to stay at since it's a long haul for most, especially those that can't stay on their boats.

Boca Grande would be great :!:   There are lots of places to stay at on Pine Island, Sanibel Island, and Port Charolette.  Cool place to visit.
Rick, I was thinking I didn't meet ya.  But I am not the kind to go nosing around and bug folks too much.  Next time.
Thanks for the compliments on the old boat.  Its really just a fishing boat.  Nothing too pretty.  We did our best to soak it in fish goo on Saturday.

You guys did GREAT!!!!  Tremendous to see the condition of everyone's boat, great to see the area I used to play around in!  Thanks for the pics, Rick, thanks to Scott (CH) for adding more.

I WILL make it down to Boca Grande next year, regardless of the date, I would have loved to have been there THIS year...sometimes things just don't work out...

Just want to chime in and say what a great time we had at the spring gathering its good to put faces with the names and see some AS boats.I always enjoy trips to the west coast and the weather was great.Fishing for redfish was a blast and I caught several reds over slot on light tackle and two in the slot 19" and 26".When we left Sunday the ramp at 10 street was ACTIVE but we got out alive and had a fresh water rinse down most of the way across the alley, the snapper whipper has never been cleaner. When we got home Alicia made the best blackened redfish I've ever had.Well till the next time have a frosty beverage for me!
