soft spot to the right of center console
« on: August 12, 2005, 02:00:04 PM »
Hello everyone,

I have an 86 20' Osprey and I've developed a softspot in the floor to the right of the console.  It's about a 6in square patch of floor.

I'm thinking about getting in there and repairing it but would like some advice on how to go about it.

Any info is appreciated.

That's a tough call.  If it's to the right of the CC that means it's in the walkway.  Doing a patch might be harder than doing the whole floor because the same mechanism takes place - cutting out the bad (beveled if possible), making replacement fit, resin coating, glassing in and then getting the floor coating to match existing would be pretty tough....
