Gunwale Mount Outrigger Holders
« on: May 05, 2014, 10:48:56 AM »
Hello:

I own a 1987 250 Family Fisherman.  I've recently come across a pair of NOS Lee's 1.25 inch gunwale mount outrigger holders.  I'm reliably informed that this type of outrigger holder was available as an option on the 250 Family Fisherman.  Does anyone out there happen to own a 250 family Fisherman equipped with a set of original outrigger holders?  If so, I'd be grateful if you'd provide me with the location on the gunwale where they are installed.  I'd like to install mine at the same location where the factory originally installed them.  Thanks for your help.

Regards,

duffel

Hey Duffel,

You have a 250 XF (Express Fisherman). Let me see what we can find.

Realizing this is a 250 CCP, you can see the outrigger holders just aft of the springline cleats...

Corner of 520 and A1A...

Mine were located in the same area on my 222 CCP (opposite the end of the flush mount rail).

I realize neither model is yours but it gives you some perspective on the factory idea of location. Remember, the 250 CCP is your hull.
I've searched through our members 250 XF pics but can't find one that had the outrigger mounts.

Looking at your gunnel, I would guess you would mount them  behind the last post on the bow rail (and just forward of what appears to be a fill (fresh water) on the starboard side. Plenty of space on the port side. You may need to install some form of access plate to facilitate mounting (through bolting) if you desired.

Good luck. :thumleft:

PS... how's old girl running?

Thanks for the information and photos seabob4 and Capt.Bob.  It gives me a good place to start.  I'll post photos and the the dimensions I use once I get the outrigger holders mounted.  I appreciate your help.
