I haven't been on this site for very long and I don't know you, but I am sorry to hear about your bad luck right now. Selling something like that is tough and seems unfair at times. I hope the the shot of $$$ helps things out and you get back on top quickly --
Best of luck,
Doug

Tough times out there; all this hope and change is puttin' a lot of strain on a lot of boat owners to un-load now, cashing out to survive and working to get back on top....

Best of luck to you!

The 12 years prior to this administration put us in the bind we are in right now.  It takes a lot longer than 8 months to undue the damage that was done.  Have you paid attention to the new fees for drivers license, titles, and and other vehicle fees here in FL?  That is due to tax cuts from the previous administration, which dried up the state/county/municipality coffers.

Hope and change will occur, but they have a very deep hole to dig out of...

Aswaff400, sorry for your misfortune. Hope all goes well for you and yours.

Yeah Bob, Unfortunately they are using a bigger version of the same shovel. Not positive but I think it's darn near impossible to dig your way out of a hole by making it deeper.

The only difference between a democrat and a republican is on the road to hell the democrat drives a little faster.

You guys better stop this now before Rick lays the smackdown...

Note:  I'm pretty sure Aswaff sold his boat because his truck kicked the mechanical bucket... I don't think it had anything to do with politics.  A tragedy, nonetheless...  :(

Probably not the right site to do that - it's a no-win for everyone.

I would agree to two terms - anything longer is BS - PLUS after 2, NO BENEFITS - they have to live within the world they supported, created, etc - just like we have to (eg. social security, medicare, welfare, etc).

Yup, no ONE side is responsible - the debt has been passed from one prez to the next for a long time.  Everyone focuses on the deficit and, even though that is grossly important, the previous debt passed forward is just as important.

Stepping off my soapbox and putting it away.

Although I did make some comments regarding today's economic situation, this forum is neither the time nor the place.  "The Bilge", on THT, would be more appropriate.

My apologies, Rick.  But when called out, I will respond... 8)

Aswaff400, good to hear work is consistent and that you've made progress on the repairs. Thought about a sale myself but the market on boats is so bad and the work I put into mine made the sale unthinkable.

seabob4, Never "called you out". Although I did make some comments regarding today's economic situation.

RickK, Never meant to offend. Just like to keep and even keel.

Seems like I've heard somewhere that Ford 4.9 & 5.0 Engines are reliable, readily available, easy to exchange, and much cheaper than a new truck...  could just be rumors though...

Keep the boat man!  I was talking finances with a customer recently, and I told him how at times I feel ridiculous for having a boat and then complaining about how tight money can be at times, especially these times.  He made a good point- "What's money when you're miserable without your boat?"
